I didn’t stumble into writing about discipline. I spent 37 years earning it.
I enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman in 1989, earned my Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge, and then commissioned as an Officer in 1998. I’ve deployed to multiple combat tours around the world and trained hundreds of Soldiers as a Drill Sergeant. I retired as a Major with multiple awards, badges, and more hard lessons than I can count.
After 22 years in uniform and 15 more as a DoD civilian, I’ve watched men drift. Hard men. Smart men. Capable men. Men who survived combat but couldn’t survive comfort. The enemy wasn’t the battlefield; it was the slow erosion of purpose that comes when no one’s holding you accountable anymore.
The Empire Series exists because I needed it, and it didn’t exist back then. No soft motivational fluff. No therapy-speak. Just brutally honest frameworks for building discipline, focus, and a life worth living on your own terms. Written for veterans, entrepreneurs, for men rebuilding from life betrayals, for anyone who knows they’re capable of more but can’t find the framework to get there. The same iron discipline that FORGED me, I’ve now put on paper for you.
If you’re done settling, you’re in the right place.
